Creating Solutions to Healthcare Delivery Challenges
We have numerous clinical research studies and development programs under way to create, validate and scale digital health solutions to enable providers and patients to better manage chronic conditions and help delay or prevent onset. Here are two examples.
FeatForward for Engagement
FeatForward is an intelligent, hyper-personalized mobile app designed to increase the level of physical activity in patients with one or more chronic illnesses . A randomized controlled trial at Massachusetts General Hospital health centers is evaluating this intervention. So far, study participants are showing increases in activity levels, as measured by average daily steps taken, correlating to improvements in metrics such as BMI (Body Mass Index) and waist circumference, early predictors of improving metabolic health.
Moving Beyond the Pill to Improve Adherence
We recently collaborated with a large pharmaceutical company, to create a digital monitoring and decision-aiding platform for patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib) who are prescribed novel oral anticoagulants (NOACs). This digital program aims to help patients understand and manage their condition, at their fingertips, as well as give critical information to their providers to better personalize their patients’ therapy.
